Richglen team members celebrate the Champion Culture Award win.
Culture isn’t just a buzzword at Richglen, and now it’s been officially recognised with a RIN Award!
On Friday night, Richglen was named the winner of the Champion Culture Award at the 2025 Resource Industry Network (RIN) Awards in Mackay.
This recognition is a testament to the heart of our company: our people. As managing director Matt Borg says, culture isn’t something you can buy off the shelf – it’s built every day through genuine care, teamwork, and shared values.
“From day one, we’ve focused on creating a friendly, welcoming workplace where every team member feels valued,” Matt said.
“Whether it’s celebrating achievements, supporting career growth, or having the tough conversations to stay true to our values, culture is at the centre of everything we do.
“One thing I do know is if you bring together a good bunch of people and get the culture right, only good outcomes can come from that."
The RIN judges noted that Richglen’s passion for culture was “evident through the care they have for their people,” with “everyone valued and treated like part of a big family.”
They also highlighted tangible benefits, including reduced turnover, boosted employee referrals, internal career pathways, and the introduction of the New to Industry Worker program.
We’re humbled and proud to be recognised alongside so many other fantastic companies in the industry. A big thank you to the Resource Industry Network and the night’s sponsors for hosting an incredible evening.
Winning this award inspires us to continue fostering a workplace where people feel supported, challenged, and empowered to grow. Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and this award reinforces that when you get culture right, amazing things happen.
