Be a Bloody Legend: Donate with Richglen

Richglen’s HSEQ Manager Chris Carleton donates blood at the Lifeblood Mackay Donor Centre on launch day of the Richglen Lifeblood Team.

Richglen has officially joined the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood program, encouraging employees and community members across Queensland to roll up their sleeves and become blood donors.

The initiative, launched under the banner “Be a Bloody Legend”, aims to unite Richglen employees, families and friends in a shared mission to help save lives. Every blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives, making this a simple yet powerful way to give back.

“As a company built on values like community and mateship, this program is a natural fit,” said Richglen’s HR Co-ordinator Stacey Hunt. “We’re proud to support Lifeblood and hope to inspire our team and others across the region to get involved.”

Donor Centres Across Key Richglen Regions

For those ready to donate, several donor centres are located near Richglen’s major hubs:

  • Mackay: 143 Sydney Street

  • Rockhampton: 57–59 Bolsover Street

  • Bundaberg: 220 Bourbong Street

  • Emerald: 7 Clermont Street

For employees and supporters in other parts of Queensland, from the Gold Coast to Brisbane, Airlie Beach, Yeppoon, Ayr and beyond, the Lifeblood location finder can help you locate your nearest centre or mobile donor van:

Building a Culture of Giving

The program is not just about donations, it’s about connection. By joining the Richglen Lifeblood Team, participants can track how many lives their collective donations have helped, creating a visible impact and strengthening camaraderie across sites.

“We know our teams are always willing to step up and support one another,” Stacey said. “This is just another way of turning that spirit outward to help the wider community.”

Richglen encourages anyone eligible to donate to get involved, whether you’re an employee, contractor, family member or friend. Every donation counts, and together, the Richglen Lifeblood Team is ready to make a difference.
