We're Proud to Donate $10,000 to Coningsby State School
Coningsby State School receives their $10,000 donation from Richglen Maintenance Services
At Richglen, we believe strong communities start with strong schools.
That's why we're proud to donate $10,000 to Coningsby State School through this year's School of the Year initiative, helping bring an important community project one step closer to reality.
Partnering with Star 101.9 once again, the program invited schools from across Mackay and the Whitsundays to share how funding could make a meaningful difference for their students and communities.
Following another fantastic campaign, Coningsby State School was selected as the recipient of this year's donation.
The school plans to put the funding towards its playground savings fund, helping create an exciting new play space for students, families and the wider community to enjoy for years to come.
For us, School of the Year is about much more than a single project.
It's about investing in local education, supporting future generations and giving back to the communities that have supported our business since day one.
"Our business was built in this community, and giving back has always been important to us," said Richglen Managing Director Matt Borg.
"Schools play such an important role in shaping young people, and we're proud to support projects that create positive experiences and opportunities for local students.
"Through School of the Year, we're able to support ideas that will have a lasting impact long after the competition ends."
Celebrating ALL SCHOOLS
Eimeo Road State School students celebrate being a School of the Year finalist
One of the most rewarding parts of this initiative is seeing the passion, creativity and community spirit that exists across our region's schools.
This year, schools shared a diverse range of ideas focused on improving facilities, enhancing student experiences and creating stronger connections within their communities.
We'd like to sincerely thank every school that entered.
While Coningsby State School will receive this year's $10,000 donation, we'd also like to recognise our fellow finalists for the incredible support they generated throughout the campaign.
Oakenden State School proposed upgrading its tennis and basketball court, improving its playground facilities and establishing a vegetable garden for students to enjoy.
Eimeo Road State School proposed investing in equipment for a parent camp-out initiative designed to bring families together and strengthen community connections.
Investing in OUR CommunitY
Since Richglen was founded in Mackay in 2014, giving back to our communities has remained an important part of who we are.
Whether it's supporting schools, community organisations, rescue services or local initiatives, we believe in investing in the people and places that make our region stronger.
School of the Year is one way we can help create positive opportunities for young people while supporting the schools that play such an important role in our communities.
We're grateful to Star 101.9 for partnering with us on another successful campaign, and to every school, student, teacher, parent and community member who helped make this year's initiative possible.
Congratulations once again to Coningsby State School. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this project has on students, families and the broader community for years to come.
